Most of the alloys used for "hotwire cutting" are based on Nickel and Chromium. While the standar NiChrome wire is quite inexpensive, it expands (flows) a lot and breaks very often. Throughout the years, WIESER has tested many alloys and it seems that as for today, there are only 2 types, which are recommendable : the standard INCONEL wire (mostly supplied with a copper coating) and the R41 from National Standards.
If you need a source, where to buy the cutting wire, suitable for your machine, just send us a mail, we will help you to find a local supplier.
